CoreWeave is a publicly traded AI cloud infrastructure company. The Data Centre Technician is responsible for the physical operations of the Glasgow data centre, ensuring availability and reliability of critical infrastructure through hands‑on hardware diagnostics, repair, and maintenance in a 24/7 operational environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform hardware and network diagnostics and physical repairs to maintain data centre equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis of infrastructure failures and document findings
- Respond to on-site equipment failures within 60 minutes during on-call shifts
- Develop documentation and scripts to update server and networking hardware
- Train internal teams on data centre operations and procedures
- Maintain consistent service availability and meet defined service levels
What You Need
- Computer hardware experience including troubleshooting and assembling
- Linux operating system experience
- Ability to transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Physical capability to work in stationary positions and manoeuvre in confined spaces such as ladders and under‑floor areas
- Fine motor skills for handling small hardware components and cables
- Availability to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 environment with rotating on‑call participation
- Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with computer networking
- Python, Bash, or other scripting languages experience
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
