Assistant Merchandiser – Birmingham

• £27,200 – £32,800 per year

The role of Assistant Merchandiser:

• Trading and planning own subcategory area of product
• Work with the Buying team to manage the critical path
• Maintain good working relationships with internal and external suppliers
• Identify sales and stock opportunities and threats through line reporting and analysis
• Maximise the availability of core lines
• Support the Merchandiser in preparing for meetings and presentations
• Support and provide direction to the Merchandise Assistant
• Deputise for the Merchandiser as required

The ideal Assistant Merchandiser:

• Previous merchandising experience required
• IT literate and confident user of Excel formulae
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent communicator
• Numerical and methodical approach with attention to detail
• Works well under pressure
