PRODUCTION TECHNICIANS NEEDED IN TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE

Are you looking for a permanent job in the Telford area, have you previously operated machinery within a manufacturing environment and are you happy working 4 on 4 off shift patterns?

Due to significant growth and investment, we are looking for 15 Production Technicians to join a food manufacturing business in Telford on a permanent basis.

The hiring manager is looking for someone that lives within a 25 mile radius of Telford (Shropshire).

You will be working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (rotating 12 hour days and nights shifts), the starting salary is just over GBP 35,000 per annum, initially rising to just under GBP 39,500 per annum, and then finally increase to just under GBP 43,500 per annum once fully signed off and trained.

This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage consisting of a numeracy and literacy assessment on site in Telford, Shropshire.

These roles would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Senior Operator, Skilled Operator, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter, Machine Setter Operator or Skilled Machinist within a production/manufacturing facility.

What You Will Do

  • Take ownership of a production lines performance, ensuring it operates efficiently and smoothly.
  • Work hands:on with advanced, fully automated machinery, identifying and resolving potential faults to minimise downtime.
  • Lead and train machine operators, driving performance and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health and Safety standards.
  • Execute start:up procedures, changeovers, and standard operating processes with precision.
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining processes and liaising with development teams to boost productivity.

What You Will Bring

  • A strong technical mindset with a passion for working with machinery.
  • Proven problem:solving skills and the ability to take decisive action to ensure delivery.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new techniques and technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Ideally, experience within the food or processing industry, although this is not essential.
