We are seeking a committed and compassionate Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing school in Caerphilly. This is an opportunity to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), particularly those displaying behavioural challenges such as Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate may secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support for pupils with ALN, including Autism, ADHD, and behavioural or communication difficulties, in both small group and 1:1 settings.
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and help pupils regulate their emotions and responses in the classroom.
- Collaborate with teachers to implement personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
- Support inclusive learning by adapting activities and materials to meet diverse pupil needs.
- Assist in preparing classroom resources that encourage engagement and emotional development.
- Track pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and parents as appropriate.
