IKEA Nottingham are looking to welcome Warehouse Sales Assistants to join our hardworking Fulfilment team. At IKEA, you’ll put the customer experience at the heart of everything—keeping products available, preparing high‑volume orders, maintaining a safe and organised warehouse, and ensuring every customer receives their items smoothly and efficiently.

  • Hours: 12 hours weekly, 3 days per week including 3 out of 4 weekends

What You’ll Need to Have

  • Comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support checking of stock and answering customer questions
  • Proactively look for tasks and use initiative to complete them efficiently and effectively
  • Adaptable mindset, able to switch between tasks/areas and work within tight time frames
  • Work with guidance from manager to achieve set goals in agreed timeframes using standard ways of working

What You’ll Be Doing Day to Day

  • Prioritise the customer experience, focusing on enhancing sales and ensuring stock availability while maintaining an organised, tidy shopping environment and preparing for the next day’s deliveries
  • Pick and prepare large volumes of orders for both online & in‑store collection or delivery
  • Meet customers when they come to receive their items and/or serve them at the sales desk in the warehouse
  • Work with internal systems to ensure customers have accurate and full stock availability at all times
  • Ensure products are always available by accurately and promptly completing tasks in the warehouse
  • Commit to all IKEA health, safety and security rules and requirements within your area and actively help colleagues prevent any incidents involving co‑workers, customers, equipment, building and IKEA products
  • Contribute to optimised daily fulfilment operations by working in a lean, simple, and cost‑conscious way, applying, and sharing good examples
  • Manual handling, ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are followed, moving goods up to 59kg using pump trucks
  • Working with or around heavy machinery, such as forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse
