Key Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare – desirable; fully funded if not yet held
- Strong communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully
- Patience, resilience, reflective practice and reliability
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs
- Desire for a career with purpose and impact
- Experience in residential childcare or willingness to undergo training
Working Environment
You will work within a team and receive regular training, guidance and supervision. No single day is the same; you will not be expected to manage alone.
Pay & Hours
Hourly rate: £12.80 – £13.48 (depending on experience and qualification) + sleep ins. Shifts: 3 pm – 11 pm, 10 am – 11 pm, with sleep‑in duty. 6‑week rolling rota for stability. Annual salary: £27,600 – £29,000 (including sleep‑ins).
