M5 Traffic Management Operative

FM Conway is looking for a M5 Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Management division based from our Sevenoaks depot. This is a full‑time, permanent role with a mixture of day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up temporary traffic lights and assist with the diversion of traffic.
• Maintain and remove traffic lights within the required time scale.
• Manage traffic flow at temporary traffic lights, ensuring the public abides by signals.
• Work closely with management and crews, taking instructions from the management team.
• Ensure site safety and carry out on‑site assessments.
• Take appropriate action in the event of an emergency, notifying the relevant parties.
• Be available on a rota basis for out‑of‑hours on‑call duty if needed.

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of traffic management operations.
• Valid CSCS card and M5 traffic management Lantra ticket.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
• Compliance with RAMS.
• Full UK driving licence.
