This role provides comprehensive administrative support within a mental health team, including opening and closing referrals on the RIO system for the North core Mental Health Team. It ensures efficient management of assessment waiting lists, scheduling appointments, and facilitating seamless communication with service users. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining records, updating systems, and preparing documents for the north core Mental Health Team. Duties also include minute‑taking during key meetings, managing enquiries and incoming calls. The role requires strict adherence to GDPR, safeguarding, and information governance standards. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach to all interactions are essential for successful performance in this position.
Main duties of the job
- Open and close referrals for north core MHT, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Manage waiting lists for assessments across all teams, keeping data up to date and prioritised.
- Schedule assessment appointments and send appointment letters, reminders, and follow‑up communications.
- Take minutes for the Team Business Meeting, referral meeting and MDT meeting ensuring actions are recorded and tracked.
- Provide administrative support to north core MHT, including maintaining records, updating systems, and preparing documents.
- Cover the reception front desk, greeting visitors, handling enquiries, and managing incoming calls.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and information governance standards.
Location
You may be required from time to time to work at different locations within Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at other places as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

- NVQ3
- 2-year NHS experience
Skills / Abilities
- Good knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Keyboard skills to ensure accuracy, speed and optimum use of functions.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise a number of activities and continually reprioritise to meet tight, conflicting and often changing deadlines.
