HGV Class 2 Driver
£37,000 – £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Monday to Friday + Half Day Every Other Saturday
Our client is a well-established and highly successful supplier of construction products, and is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join its team in the Surrey area.
This is an important, safety-focused role offering stable employment, sociable driving hours and the opportunity to become part of a supportive branch operation delivering excellent service to customers.
The Role
As our client’s HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule to customers across the local region.
You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day branch operations while acting as a professional and reliable representative of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver customer orders safely and punctually across designated routes
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and ensure roadworthiness checks are completed accurately
- Secure loads correctly and maintain full compliance with transport and safety regulations
- Complete transport paperwork and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service during all deliveries and customer interactions
- Support branch operations where required and maintain high safety standards at all times
We are looking for someone who
- Has a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Has CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
- Has previous multi-drop delivery experience
- Has a strong awareness of transport safety and compliance requirements
- Is dependable and professional with excellent customer service skills
- Has HIAB and/or Moffett certification – training can be provided if required
