Specialist – Street Lighting and Traffic Signals

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive specialist to support the management and improvement of the Council’s streetlighting, traffic signals, and illuminated assets. This role plays a key part in ensuring these systems are safe, reliable and compliant, while contributing to road safety and network efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in asset design, maintenance and performance.
• Oversee contractors and maintenance programmes.
• Help drive innovation through the use of smart technologies and energy‑efficient solutions.
• Travel throughout the Borough, with access to a car for site visits and meetings.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act).
• Ability to travel within the Borough and access to a car.
