GI Group – HGV Class 1 Driver

GI Group is recruiting multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers in Burgess Hill (BN6) for a well‑known international courier client focused on the express road‑based market.

Driver Shifts

• (Apply online only) shifts start on an ad‑hoc basis
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend work available
• Average 12 hour shift

Pay & Benefits

• Monday‑Friday: £20.34 per hour
• Saturday: £26.35 per hour
• Sunday: £29.41 per hour

Pay is PAYE and includes advanced holiday pay.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle checks
• Load cargo to depots
• Deliver goods safely to customers across the UK
• Prioritise workload to meet time commitments

Requirements

• Presentable appearance, eye for detail and a positive attitude
• No more than 6 penalty points. No DD/IN/DR/DN/TT endorsement codes
• Valid, in‑date tachograph and CPC
• Good customer service skills
• At least 12 months of experience as a Class 1 driver
