Role Overview
We would like to appoint a Technician: Food Technology and Textiles to join our Design and Technology Department. The role involves preparing resources, maintaining food preparation areas and providing practical support to the department. Experience is desirable but not essential as training is available. Some experience of working in an educational setting would be beneficial but the most important qualities are common sense, a pragmatic approach, and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Prepare resources for food technology and textile lessons.
- Maintain food preparation areas and equipment.
- Provide practical support to the department.
- Assist with the implementation of health and safety guidelines.
- Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Desirable experience in food technology and textiles.
- Experience working in an educational setting is a plus.
- Practical skills in food preparation and textile work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to a safe working environment for children.
