Senior Care Assistant – Acorn Lodge Care Home (Nuneaton)

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our award‑winning team in Nuneaton.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting care plans, ensure needs are met and records updated.
• Take part in person‑centred care planning, implementing, monitoring and conducting monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and health/social professionals, ensuring requests and complaints are addressed promptly.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar care environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities.

Additional Requirements

• DBS Disclosure check – cost covered by the employer.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exception Order) 1975. A submission for Disclosure will be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
