Merchandiser – Birmingham

The rewards

• £45,000 – £55,000 per annum

The role of Merchandiser:

• Prepare reporting and present in weekly and monthly trading meetings
• Drive the trade model
• Review daily and weekly sales performance and take actions where required
• Review over and under performance at product level and drive trading actions to maximise potential and minimise risk
• Manage a WSSI by accurately forecasting demand, OTB, returns and margin
• Take ownership of the critical path and take appropriate action on issues when they arise
• Prepare trading reports/packs and make recommendations for reporting improvements across the B&M function
• Build effective and open relationships with all members of the buying and merchandising team
• Ensure productive relationship between merchandising function and all other business areas
• Deliver key information at the right time to the right people

The ideal Merchandiser:

• A strong background in the retail industry with a focus on merchandising or inventory management
• Proficiency in analysing sales data and forecasting trends
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Familiarity with merchandising systems and tools

This role is with an established ladies multi-channel fashion retailer based in the Birmingham area, joining and supporting the merchandising team.
