Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored academic and personal support to learners in mainstream settings, including in‑class assistance, off‑campus activities, and personal care.
  • Implement individual Support Plans and EHCPs in collaboration with course leaders and the PASC Team Leader, ensuring students receive guidance and encouragement to thrive.
  • Deliver in‑class support across theory and practical subjects, including English and Maths.
  • Assist with literacy, numeracy, note‑taking, and adapting learning materials.
  • Support students outside the classroom, including safeguarding referrals and counselling access.
  • Accompany learners on work experience placements and educational trips.
  • Provide personal care where required.
  • Act as a reader or scribe during examinations.
  • Maintain accurate records including Support Plans, Action Plans, and EHCP documentation.
  • Promote pastoral support and follow up on attendance and punctuality.
  • Participate in enrichment activities, departmental meetings, and learner voice initiatives.

Qualifications

Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or above).

Experience supporting individuals with mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Strong communication skills and ability to relate to diverse learners.
