We are working with a specialist SEN setting in Tolworth, Kingston upon Thames looking for an Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with autism and communication needs. This role is for someone who understands autism support beyond just having it written on a CV. This is a long-term role available to start as soon as possible. The school needs someone patient, structured and able to support pupils who may need visual routines, sensory support and calm communication.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with ASD and communication needs
- Helping pupils follow routines and access learning
- Using calm, consistent support strategies
- Working alongside experienced SEN staff and teachers
Qualifications
- Experience with autism support, SEN, care, youth work or school support
- Patience and emotional consistency
- Someone who understands routine, communication and regulation
- A reliable person who can build trust over time
Compensation and Logistics
Pay: £95 – £115 per day
Location: Tolworth, Kingston upon Thames (KT2 6LX)
