What you’ll do
This is your opportunity to be enrolled on our industry leading apprenticeship development scheme enabling you to pour the foundations for a successful career with the largest distributor of building materials in the UK. You’ll be working whilst completing our bespoke 13‑month scheme, gaining a deep understanding of our operation as you move across all areas of our Branch.
We’ll teach you about our safety first approach, the builders merchant industry, the market and our business strategy. You’ll learn how to sell by providing great service, you’ll gain a deep understanding of our product base and so much more.
Your learning will be “on the job” with time set aside each week to complete coursework. You’ll have a dedicated apprenticeship coach for support, 1:1 coaching, mentoring, and training to enable your career progression. At the end of training you’ll complete an endpoint assessment and, on successful completion, achieve an L2 Apprenticeship.

Experience in merchanting is not needed; experience in any work is not required if you have the right attitude to learn and genuinely want to develop a career.

- Over 18.
- Not currently in any form of education.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Brand new to this kind of role.
What you’ll get
Salary starts at £9.60 per hour for the first 6 months and grows to £11.60 per hour upon graduation from the programme.
