We’re growing our Field Services teams and are looking for a Field Services Operative to join us. In this role, you’ll support the inspection, maintenance, and monitoring of our clients’ cross‑country assets and apparatus, working in line with strict Health and Safety guidelines. We provide professional services and advice to clients across utilities including water, gas, electricity, fibre optics, and oil.
You’ll work as part of our experienced Field Services team, supporting Field Services Technicians, Land Agents, Landowner Liaison Officers, and Surveyors, as well as collaborating with the wider office where required. You’ll assist with a range of tasks across a varied client portfolio, helping to liaise with clients, landowners, and contractors.
The role involves regular travel across operational areas, supporting site visits and field‑based activities. A vehicle is provided, and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on project needs.

Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance activities to help ensure pipelines and associated assets are clearly marked, recorded, and maintained
- Support line managers and senior team members by carrying out assigned tasks efficiently and safely
- Attend and successfully complete all required training courses, including those delivered in line with strict HSE guidelines
- Assist with visual inspections of equipment and assets to help monitor condition and identify potential issues
- Accurately complete documentation and support reporting requirements
- Work alongside trained colleagues and, where appropriate, assist in monitoring third‑party contractors to ensure compliance with client and HSE safety procedures
- Carry out duties both on highways and in cross‑country environments
- Provide general on‑site support to the Infrastructure Services division and wider business when required
