HGV Class 2 Driver – Permanent – 4 day week (Tue-Fri) Up to 40K + Bonus + Overtime – Aylesbury
We are looking for a highly motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join an award‑winning company that has been established for over 125 years. The organisation operates within the FMCG sector and has a head office in Aylesbury.
This exciting opportunity will suit a HGV Class 2 Driver with 6 months or more commercial experience. The organisation employs over 170 people, expanding exponentially over the last few years.
There are two separate depots in Aylesbury, one specialising in home counties and the other across London. Roles at both depots are available.
The position is full time/permanent and offers a 4‑day working week, Tuesday to Friday, with overtime available if desired. The environment is relaxed yet professional, without a rigid corporate structure.
HGV Class 2 Driver Requirements
- At least 6 months commercial experience
- Class 2 (C) or Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC card
- Digital Tachograph card
HGV Class 2 Driver Responsibilities
- Prepare the vehicle each morning with basic checks and safe loading of goods.
- Review delivery notes and route plans to ensure efficient and accurate drops.
- Deliver the products to a wide range of hospitality venues with professionalism and care.
- Engage confidently with customers, communicate any delivery issues, and fulfil special requests where needed.
- Complete all paperwork, including delivery notes, returns, and collections.
- Uphold confidentiality and customer trust at all times.
- Follow all health & safety protocols.
We are not expecting the driver to be an expert in everything above, just a solid foundation of knowledge and a passion to learn more.
You will be an enthusiastic, great communicator, comfortable in a client‑facing environment. The successful driver should have strong organisational skills and the ability to work as a team.
