Availability Window
When you are available to work:
- Sun: 18:00 – 23:00
- Mon: 18:00 – 23:00
- Tue: 18:00 – 22:30
- Thu: 09:00 – 18:00
- Sat: 18:00 – 23:00
Pay: Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour; this increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but can work fewer to a minimum of 12 if desired.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organized.
- Leave the back yard clean, tidy, and clear of rubbish, picking up litter when seen.
- Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
- Load the van as required, checking for roadworthiness.
- Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, offering a refund for items they are unhappy with.
- Take care of products and deliveries as if they were your own.
- Explain to the customer that substitutions will not incur extra charge.
- Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
- Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
- Call the store or centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and improve store service.
- Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say thank you.
- Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs.
- Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work life.
- Share ideas with the Manager and other colleagues on how we can improve store service.
Qualifications
- Hold a UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Be able to adhere to GB Domestic Driving Rules.
