Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brigg for a Car Storage & Transport Operative. The role involves safely moving, parking, and positioning vehicles within the storage facility, including operating vehicle lifts and related equipment where required. The operative will carry out vehicle checks, basic cleaning and preparation, and ensure vehicles are stored correctly in line with humidity and security protocols. Daily responsibilities include recording vehicle movements, maintaining accurate logs and documentation, and supporting the coordination of servicing, repairs, and MOT appointments. The role also includes preparing vehicles for client collection, assisting with vehicle transport and logistics, and communicating professionally with clients and partners to uphold the company’s premium service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong vehicle handling skills, including confident and careful driving of a variety of cars (manual and automatic) and safe maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Basic mechanical awareness and interest in automotive care, with the ability to perform simple checks (fluids, tyre condition, battery status) and identify potential issues.
- Experience or comfort with storage or warehouse operations, including working within defined processes, following safety procedures, and maintaining organized spaces.
- Good record-keeping and administrative skills, including accurate logging of vehicle movements, appointments, and paperwork associated with servicing and repairs.
- Customer-focused communication skills, with a professional, courteous manner and the ability to build trust with clients and external service providers.
- High attention to detail and a careful, methodical approach to handling high-value vehicles and confidential client information.
- Full, clean driving licence suitable for driving in the UK; experience with vehicle transport, recovery, or logistics is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Brigg, including flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work to meet client or transport needs.
- Previous experience in automotive, motorsport, storage, logistics, or a related field is beneficial but not essential for candidates with strong transferable skills and enthusiasm.
