Its products regenerate bone and target infection risks across a variety of specialties, including musculoskeletal infection, orthopaedics, trauma, spine, foot and ankle, podiatry, and sports injuries. Our manufacturing facility at Keele is a crucial part of the business and where our products are produced for the global market. As a production assistant, you will form part of the assembly team, and work with accuracy to ensure the quality of our finished medical products.
Responsibilities
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE and gowns, and work in a cleanroom environment
- Ability to follow and adhere to written instructions, predominantly Batch Manufacturing records
- Ability to fill in prime documentation
- Complete routine tasks within department
- Ensure fully trained in all tasks that are assigned, and highlight personal training gaps
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
- Report problems with quality process, equipment or materials to supervisor or deputy
- Comply with all policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements of Biocomposites
- Cleaning and environmental monitoring to required standards
- Maintaining and performing good housekeeping practices
Required Experience
- 12-months previous manufacturing experience working within a production operative role.
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice.
- Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative within a controlled working environment.
- Ability to wear PPE and work within a clean room environment.
- Previous experience of working in a highly regulated environment is advantageous.
- Fixed term contract until 30.7.2027
Location
Keele Head Office, Monday – Friday, 8.00 – 4.00, 37.5 hours per week
