Contract: FullTime, Permanent, 39 hours a week
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a CATEGORY C & Male prison. As a Cleaning Operative you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues across the Facilities Maintenance Team, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, and administrators. You will help to keep the prison functioning safely and efficiently, contributing to a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
Qualifications
- Experience of working within a cleaning environment
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Future Plans
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that FM services will ultimately be delivered by the private sector. Following a successful procurement process, GFSL’s services will transfer to a private sector provider not sooner than August 2027.
