About the Role

As a Senior Account Director, you will own and lead strategic relationships for a portfolio of key brands and campaigns within a digital advertising agency. Translate business goals into integrated, data-informed campaigns; steward cross-functional teams; and ensure profitable, high-quality delivery. Serve as the executive client liaison, drive growth through ongoing value, and mentor more junior members of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the senior client partner for complex digital platform engagements, including websites, mobile applications, e-commerce ecosystems, and customer experience initiatives.
  • Advise executive stakeholders on digital experience strategy, platform investment decisions, customer journey optimisation, and digital transformation opportunities.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders across Marketing, Digital, Product, Technology, and Customer Experience functions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand agency partnerships through platform modernisation, digital product innovation, customer experience enhancement, and ongoing optimisation programs.
  • Shape strategic roadmaps and growth plans that align platform investments with broader business objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Experience Design, and Delivery leaders to ensure strategic alignment across programs and initiatives.
  • Provide executive-level guidance on emerging technologies, digital trends, AI-enabled solutions, and evolving customer expectations.
  • Lead commercial discussions relating to platform strategy, digital transformation programs, retained services, and long-term partnership growth.
  • Support new business opportunities involving digital platforms, customer experience transformation, and integrated technology solutions.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor for complex platform and digital experience engagements.

About You

The essentials:

  • 8+ years of account management experience in digital advertising, marketing, or related agencies; proven track record managing high-value, high-volume interdisciplinary work.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, multi‑channel campaigns (e.g., digital, social, display, video, search) and deliver on client objectives.
  • Strong leadership and relationship‑building skills; proven ability to influence, negotiate, and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills, budget literacy, and comfort with Excel/Google Sheets for forecasts, P&L, and reporting.
  • Strategic thinker with a data‑driven mindset; able to turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Clear, confident communicator with excellence in written and verbal presentation; adept at facilitating workshops and senior client meetings.

Not a must, but a plus

  • Experience with complex technical projects (websites and native applications)
  • Knowledge of performance marketing, media planning, and analytics platforms.
  • Background in proposal writing, RFP responses, and new business development.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Jira) and CRM systems.
