Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction projects, leading site teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and motivated construction professional to join a growing organisation with a strong pipeline of projects. Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with all health and safety legislation, site procedures, and company standards. Take ownership of daily site operations, making informed decisions to maximise productivity and project performance. Liaise closely with design and project teams to manage drawings, specifications, technical queries, and implementation requirements. Supervise and coordinate site personnel and subcontractors, allocating work effectively and maintaining clear communication across the project team. Identify training and development requirements within the workforce and support ongoing skills development. Maintain high-quality standards through inspections, quality checks, defect management, and remedial works coordination. Monitor project programmes and produce short-term look-ahead schedules to ensure labour, plant, and materials are available to meet project demands. Review project programmes and construction methodologies, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. Review project specifications and identify potential cost-saving opportunities where appropriate. Prepare accurate material take-offs and procurement schedules, supported by detailed documentation and marked-up drawings. Requirements Essential CITB SMSTS qualification. Valid CSCS Card. Full UK Driving Licence. First Aid at Work certification. Demonstrable experience managing multi-disciplinary construction projects. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and influence others. Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems. Desirable Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. NVQ/SVQ Level 4 in Construction Management or currently working towards this qualification. Trade background or completion of a recognised construction apprenticeship. Previous experience in site supervision or project management roles. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome site-based challenges effectively.
