Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage project activities for major customer orders and new product introductions.
- Maintain project schedules and track progress against agreed milestones.
- Prepare and manage project documentation in line with customer and ISO requirements.
- Monitor project status and provide updates to stakeholders, customers and senior management.
- Support quotation and bid preparation for new enquiries and projects.
- Coordinate drawing updates and engineering change activities.
- Organise and document project review meetings, including design, contract and production readiness reviews.
- Maintain accurate project records and ensure critical documentation is stored correctly.
- Monitor project costs and support budget control activities.
- Assist cross functional teams with customer documentation, quality plans and inspection plans.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to project delivery and business processes.
What you’ll need
- HNC, HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Desirable
- Previous project management experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
- Experience using project management software such as MS Project.
- Knowledge of gated project management processes.
- Exposure to New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
- Experience within regulated industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Medical, Nuclear or Energy.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Inventor or Autodesk Vault.
- Understanding of PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ or similar product launch methodologies.
- French language skills would be advantageous.
