On‑Site Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Fawley (On‑site)

Salary: £51,900 – £57,700 per year (DOE)

Start Date: 6th July 2026

Contract: 12‑Month

The Role

As the on‑site “hands and eyes” for IT, you will be the key on‑site technical expert, maintaining and supporting network, server, and site infrastructure while playing a key role in project delivery and service improvement. You will work across data centre operations, infrastructure support, and stakeholder coordination to ensure seamless IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands‑on support across network, server, and infrastructure environments
  • Carry out IMAC activities (installs, moves, adds, changes)
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Perform physical infrastructure tasks (racking, cabling, patching)
  • Manage server rooms and communications environments
  • Support network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi/voice)
  • Handle incidents, requests, and changes via ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Coordinate with vendors and manage repairs / logistics
  • Support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations
  • Ensure compliance with security, safety, and IT standards

What We’re Looking For

  • 3‑5 years’ experience in Network / Infrastructure Engineering
  • Strong hands‑on IT infrastructure and troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and virtualization
  • Experience with networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
  • Familiarity with modern networking concepts (TCP/IP, SD‑WAN, Zero Trust)
  • Experience with servers, storage (NetApp/Dell EMC), and end‑user devices
  • Comfortable working with physical infrastructure (cabling, racking, hardware handling)
  • CCNA (preferred but not essential)

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working independently and within global teams
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (travel between sites required)
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed
  • Participation in an on‑call rota

  • London Colo
  • Nordic locations
