Field-based Service/Installation Engineers

Location: Edinburgh/Glasgow

Role Overview

FMS Fire and Security Ltd. are seeking highly motivated and skilled Service/Installation Engineers to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you can make a real impact on system reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and install a wide range of fire and security systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and effectively
  • Manage your workload independently, ensuring all tasks are completed on time
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, building strong relationships with clients
  • Provide expert advice and technical support to customers
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and systems serviced

Additional Duties

  • Participate in the standby and call‑out rota
  • Respond promptly and effectively to urgent service requests and emergencies

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in fire and/or security system servicing
  • Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Full UK driving licence
