Field Service Engineer (Electrical + PLC Training)

Location: Commutable from Glastonbury, Weston‑Super‑Mare, Bristol, Bath, Taunton, Yeovil, Bridgwater and surrounding areas.

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum plus excellent training, seniority progression, PLC training, door‑to‑door pay, premium overtime, 30‑day holiday, company vehicle, and fuel card.

Job Summary

We are a niche engineering company looking for two Mechanical Engineers with hydraulic experience to join our field service team. The role is ideal for a candidate who wants to develop multi‑skill expertise, including PLC training, and progress into senior positions within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Visit client sites to conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and the building of maintenance projects.
• Prepare quotes and proposals for site work.
• Perform routine servicing, repairs and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Provide on‑site technical support and documentation as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts usage.

Qualifications

• Mechanically oriented Engineer with practical hydraulic experience.
• Willingness to undertake on‑the‑job training in PLCs and related field‑service skills.
• Valid driving licence and a clean driving record.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
