Mechanical Contract Officer required for a client side organisation in Coventry.
Responsibilities
- Manage compliance assurance on a range of assets and systems, including Landlord’s Gas Safety Certificates.
- Act as first point of contact for service colleagues and stakeholders to interpret and resolve complex infrastructure and technical problems on commercial HVAC systems.
- Appoint and manage specialist contractors delivering mechanical engineering maintenance, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with Group Health & Safety policies and Estates department approved standards.
- Lead the development of commercial boiler maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with recognised industry standards, health and safety legislation, and delivering value for money.
- Identify and lead improvement projects, including project management of in‑house mechanical installation, refurbishment and upgrade projects; liaise and communicate with customers and key contacts to plan works and minimise disruption to operational activity.
- Collaborate with Project Team and other specialists within the Service and across the Group to deliver integrity and consistency with service delivery.
- Serve as department lead on witnessing and commissioning of mechanical systems on new build and refurbishment projects.
- Lead and contribute to business meetings, working groups and sub‑committees at departmental and operational service levels.
Qualifications
Ideally, level 3, HNC in building services or a commercial ACS qualification.
