Role

We are looking for a Network Service Technician to join Thames Water on a full‑time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking personal ownership of customer queries and complaints, and responding to and resolving issues at their homes or places of work.
  • Working with contractors to do planned and unplanned work, investigating clean water networks to resolve poor performance including high or low pressure, leakage, metering queries, and loss of supply out in the field.
  • Supporting the operation of the mains network including controlling burst mains, ensuring isolation to facilitate planned work, emergency repairs, and maintenance.
  • Looking after valve operations, water sampling, and valve checks and planning.
  • Working in compliance with company procedures including Business Operating Plans, Health & Safety, and Streetworks legislation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Full UK driving licence is essential as travelling between sites will be required; a company van will be provided.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, can‑do attitude.
  • Confidence at completing hands‑on tasks independently to the best of your ability.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Basic knowledge of domestic plumbing or water mains/leakage would be desirable.

  • Salary up to £33,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Location & Hours
