Teacher in Civils Construction (Ground Worker)
Start date: 17th August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and develop teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles.
- Take responsibility for the quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meets learner needs.
- Assess learner progress in college or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
- Level 2 or 3 qualification, or relevant NVQ (or equivalent) in civil engineering or groundworks.
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education, PGCE, Bachelor of Education.
- Required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.
- Relevant assessment qualifications – IQA/A1/V1.
- Evidence of current continuous professional development.
- Enhanced DBS Check via Disclosure and Barring Service; any post in regulated activity will also be subject to an additional barred list check, costs covered by the college.
- Compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 guidance – online search for shortlisted candidates.
