We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the electrical industry while working towards the EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification through a combination of hands‑on experience and block‑release training.
You will support the delivery of electrical contracting services across industrial, commercial and domestic environments while developing your technical knowledge and practical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrotechnical systems and equipment, including switchboards, motors, cables, lighting and alarm systems
- Support the preparation and installation of wiring systems across a range of environments
- Learn and apply electrical legislation, regulations and industry best practices
- Assist with inspection, testing, commissioning and certification of electrical systems
- Support fault finding and diagnostics to ensure safe and efficient system operation
- Develop an understanding of electrical design, installation and maintenance principles
- Maintain safe working practices and contribute to a clean and organised work environment
- Attend Beau Associates/JTL training centre for theory and practical assessments
- Complete all apprenticeship requirements and progress in line with the training plan
Your skills and experiences:
- Minimum Grade 4 (or equivalent) in both English and Mathematics
- Commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship programme
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards)
- Strong interest in electrical installation, maintenance and engineering
- Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Reliable, motivated and eager to learn
- Previous experience or study in electrical work or engineering
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
