Workshop Plant Fitter – Tamworth | Up to £45,000 Basic + Excellent Benefits

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established plant equipment business that is growing its Tamworth workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fitter who enjoys fault finding, servicing, and getting machines turned around to a high standard without being constantly out on the road.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
• LOLER inspections
• Planned servicing and maintenance
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• General mechanical repairs
• Assessing and repairing machine damage
• Ensuring equipment is ready for hire quickly and safely

This is a busy workshop role where quality, efficiency, and attention to detail are highly valued.

What They’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Strong experience working on plant machinery or diesel engines
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Able to work independently and prioritise workloads
• Strong communication skills
• Positive, proactive attitude

Desirable

• CSCS Card
• Candidates from plant, agricultural, HGV, powered access, forklift, or heavy vehicle backgrounds are all encouraged to apply.
