We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented individual to join our IT service desk support team.
This is a great introductory role to working in IT, providing first‑line Service Desk /Help Desk support to customers across the three councils.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and resolve IT incidents of varying complexity to maintain system performance across the authority’s IT estate.
- Assist with access control configuration for 2000+ users across the partnership.
- Provide support for over 50 corporate systems.
- Collaborate with team members at Huntingdon, Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire sites; travel to other sites on occasion.
- Work a variety of shift patterns (7am‑3pm, 8am‑4pm, 9am‑5pm, 10am‑6pm) and accommodate individual preferences where possible.
- Operate within the council’s flexible working and hybrid work model, with remote work on a case‑by‑case basis.
Qualifications
- Confident, organized and have an interest in IT and computers, either professionally or recreationally.
- Experience in help desk or support environments preferred but not required.
