Key Responsibilities
- Lead the council‑led mid‑career apprenticeship programmes, providing pastoral support to apprentices and supporting the OD & EE team with people development initiatives.
- Monitor apprentices’ progress, support them and their line managers to address learning gaps and align them with suitable learning initiatives.
- Oversee supplier relationships with training providers, ensuring apprentices are enrolled promptly and all paperwork—including apprenticeship agreements and learner contracts—is completed.
- Gather regular updates from training providers, resolve issues and signpost where appropriate; maintain an overview of any management issues, liaising with managers, HR, OD and other council services to ensure concerns and personal needs are addressed so placements are sustained.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience providing a range of Organisational Development Services at both strategic and operational levels.
- Understanding of the business and its implications; capability to provide practical OD support.
- Strong supplier‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and support learning and development programmes.
