Maths Teacher

A large secondary school based in Hounslow is looking for a Maths teacher.

The school is looking for someone to start on a long-term contract from September 2026 until at least July 2027.

This position is full time. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS.

School has available parking spaces.

Maths Teacher – Hounslow, London

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and challenging maths lessons that develop students’ confidence, reasoning and problem‑solving skills across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Support students of all abilities through differentiated teaching strategies that encourage academic progress and independence.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated, respected and supported in their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a strong and ambitious mathematics department committed to high standards.

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree.
  • Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Approachable and encouraging.
