Part‑Time Design & Technology Teacher Chesterfield (ASAP or September 2026 Start)
The Supply Register is working in partnership with a forward‑thinking secondary school in Chesterfield to recruit a Part‑Time Design & Technology Teacher, with an ASAP start or a September 2026 start available.
This role is ideal for a creative and passionate DT specialist who enjoys inspiring students through practical, hands‑on learning, innovation, and design.
Timetable: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (mornings)
The role includes
- Delivering engaging DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
- Planning and adapting lessons to support all learners
- Developing students practical, design, and problem‑solving skills
- Assessing, tracking, and providing meaningful feedback
- Maintaining a safe and well‑organised workshop environment
- Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
We re looking for candidates who
- Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Design & Technology in secondary schools
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge (e.g. product design, engineering, resistant materials or similar)
- Are passionate about practical, hands‑on learning
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
