Job Description:

My client in the Westbury area is looking for experienced LCV Technicians.

Duties of the Role

  • If working in the PDI bays – responsible for preparing new vehicles for onward delivery to the customer, ensuring all vehicles are prepared to the highest of standards and may include additional fitment of aftermarket equipment as required by the customer.
  • Perform major and minor repairs to Mercedes‑Benz vehicles.
  • Perform regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services.
  • Maintain inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
  • Work with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
  • Maintain records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.
  • Complete relevant documentation and paperwork as required and provide warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
  • Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
  • Complete customer documentation while working to agreed time scales.

Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role

Qualification – You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in LCV Vehicle Repair and maintenance, plus will have experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. You will need the ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current, full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes.
