We are seeking a motivated Showroom Salesperson to join our team in Baldock, SouthEast. This permanent, full-time role is essential for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service in the agriculture, fishing, and forestry industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sector and a commitment to helping customers find the right products to meet their needs.
Hours: 42.5 per week with occasional Saturdays as part of a rota.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers in the showroom to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of products and industry trends to effectively assist customers.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the visual merchandising of the showroom to create an inviting shopping environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall showroom performance.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within the agriculture, fishing, or forestry sectors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to collective goals.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- A genuine interest in agriculture, fishing, and forestry products.
