Overview
We are looking for a motivated and professional individual to join our team in a key business support role. The role is to offer a range of holistic support for learners and to act as a mentor to students who find it difficult to sustain regular attendance and fall below the agreed College attendance levels. You will enable and support learners to overcome barriers to progress and succeed. Whether supporting students, staff, systems, or services, you’ll bring a positive approach and a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Provide personal development and wellbeing coaching to learners, ensuring they receive necessary support to maintain attendance and achieve their learning goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Education to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of working with people within an educational organization or youth work environment
Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience of supporting students/young adults with Mental Health
- Ability to monitor student performance, achievement and attendance and take appropriate action to improve chances of success
- In‑depth knowledge of the full range of opportunities and progression routes within Further and Higher Education
- Knowledge of statutory guidance around safeguarding and the Prevent Duty, and ability to translate this into practice
