Franchise Business Manager

Location: London & Southeast (Field Based)

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car allowance

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional franchise support role.

We’re looking for a Franchise Business Manager who can help shape the future of a growing franchise network during a period of significant transformation. The business is moving towards a true franchise model, with ambitious plans to grow, strengthen franchise partnerships and build a network capable of supporting substantial expansion over the coming years.

This role will be instrumental in creating that future.

You’ll act as the primary operational partner to franchisees, helping them improve performance, build capability, drive profitability and prepare for growth. You’ll work with both existing operators and future multi-site franchise partners, ensuring the network is built on strong operational foundations rather than short-term fixes.

The business has recently undergone significant change and is entering an exciting new phase where franchise support, accountability, standards and growth will become key drivers of success. The successful candidate will play a major role in that journey.

Key Responsibilities

Franchise Partner Development

  • Build trusted, credible relationships with franchise partners
  • Coach operators to improve commercial and operational performance
  • Support franchisees in developing long-term growth plans
  • Create a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, customer experience and operational consistency

Operational Excellence

  • Conduct regular business reviews and structured franchise visits
  • Analyse operational and commercial performance data
  • Support franchisees in delivering agreed action plans
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and brand expectations
  • Drive consistency across the network while recognising local business needs

Growth & Network Expansion

  • Support the transition towards a larger, more sophisticated franchise network
  • Help develop franchisees capable of operating multiple locations
  • Partner with leadership teams on refranchising and network development initiatives
  • Contribute to franchise management frameworks, processes and best practice

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the voice of the franchisee within the business
  • Collaborate with support functions to remove barriers and improve execution
  • Balance support and challenge to ensure franchisees achieve results
  • Build strong relationships based on trust, credibility and commercial understanding

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is not measured by the number of visits completed.

It’s about building stronger operators, improving business performance and helping create a franchise network that can scale sustainably.

You’ll be someone who leaves businesses better than you found them.

Ideal Background

We’re open on sector experience.

What matters most is experience working within a franchise environment and understanding the relationship between franchisor and franchisee.

You may currently be:

  • Franchise Business Manager
  • Franchise Consultant
  • Area Manager
  • Regional Manager
  • Operations Manager

You’ll likely come from:

  • QSR
  • Hospitality
  • Retail
  • Leisure
  • Service-led franchise businesses

Most importantly you’ll understand how to influence without direct authority, build credibility quickly and drive results through partnerships rather than command and control leadership.
