Facade Director | London
A well-established property developer and main contractor with a 30-year track record of delivering landmark residential, student accommodation, mixed-use and commercial developments across London and the South East is launching a dedicated façade division and is seeking an entrepreneurial Facade Director to lead the business from day one.
With a development pipeline valued in excess of £2bn, a proven in-house construction capability, and a reputation for delivering complex projects from acquisition through to completion, the business is now making a significant investment in growing its façade offering as a standalone profit centre.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious façade professional to build and shape a business unit with full backing from an established contractor and developer. The successful individual will be responsible for creating the strategy, securing work, building relationships, assembling a high-performing team, and ultimately driving the division’s growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and growth of the façade business.
- Develop and execute the commercial and operational strategy.
- Leverage existing industry relationships to secure new projects and frameworks.
- Build and manage a team across pre-construction, commercial and delivery functions.
- Oversee project delivery, quality, programme and profitability.
- Establish the business as a recognised façade contractor within the market.
- Work closely with senior leadership to scale the division and maximise opportunities across both internal and external projects.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the façade industry.
- Strong network of developers, contractors, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Deep understanding of façade systems, procurement, design, commercial management and project delivery.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build a business rather than simply manage one.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and convert opportunities.
- Ambitious, energetic and motivated by long-term growth.
