We are now looking to add an Accountant on a permanent,full time or part time basis, due to ongoing growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of year end financial statements for Sole trade, Partnership and Limited Companies
- Self Assessment tax returns for self-employed, partnerships and individuals
- Capital Gains Tax computations
- Completion of VAT returns in line with MTD
- Preparation of management accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis using a variety of cloud based software (mainly QBO and Xero)
- Being a trusted adviser to clients, forming excellent client relationships
- Being responsible for service delivery and seeking opportunities to add value
- Assisting with Payroll & CIS and liaising with HMRC, where required
Experience and qualifications:
- ACCA or ACA Qualified preferred with 2 years minimum Practice experience, or
- Qualified by Experience with 4 years minimum in a Practice environment
- Strong IT skills and sound knowledge of the use of Excel and Cloud Accounting Software
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients at all levels
- Have good organisational skills as well as the ability to take initiative and contribute to the effective running of the firm
- Ability to produce high quality financial information and work to deadlines
