Occupational Therapist (Dimentia) – Antrim
Vanrath are delighted to be partnering with HSCNI to recruit on their behalf a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their community team.
In this role you will provide a comprehensive occupational therapy service within a variety of community settings for adults who have a diagnosis of dementia.
Main responsibilities will include:
- To carry a specific caseload to include complex clients with dementia and be responsible for organising and prioritising a varied workload
- To assist Principal Occupational Therapist with the system for screening, prioritisation and allocation of cases within an agreed framework to include self allocation and discharge planning.
- To carry out and record comprehensive assessments, using standardised assessments where possible. Initiate and follow through training, treatment plans and provision of services, which will foster independence and/or optimize levels of functioning, and holistic needs within the clients own environment.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and ensure there is an understanding of their condition.
Essential Criteria:
- Occupational Therapy Degree (UK recognised)
- HCPC Registered
- Member of RCOT or Unison
- Previous 2 years minimum OT experience

Salary:The salary on this role is in line with the HSCNI BAND 6 pay scales. (+pension & enhanced annual leave).
