Contract: 6 months (with strong potential to convert to permanent)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner / HR Manager to join our organisation on an initial 6-month contract, with an excellent opportunity to transition into a permanent role.

This is a hands-on, standalone-style role where you will take ownership of HR operations for a growing organisation of approximately 80 employees. You will play a key role in shaping and supporting the people agenda during an exciting phase of development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all day-to-day HR operations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and line managers
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, and organisational development
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Drive HR policies, processes, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR governance
  • Contribute to culture, engagement, and change initiatives

About You

We are looking for a strong HR generalist who is proactive, commercially aware, and confident operating in a standalone or lean HR environment.

You will have:

  • Proven experience at Senior HRBP or HR Manager level
  • CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
  • Strong operational HR expertise across the full employee lifecycle
  • Experience within engineering or technical organisations (preferred)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to prioritise effectively
