Property Lawyer

Are you an experienced conveyancing professional looking for a busy, varied caseload and to play a key role within a high‑performing team? Our client is seeking a Property Lawyer (Transactional) to join their Conveyancing Department, managing up to 100 files across a broad range of residential property matters.

The Role

You’ll handle a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from start to finish, including:

• Freehold, leasehold and commonhold sales and purchases
• Re‑mortgages, equity release and transfer of equity matters
• Drafting reports, raising/replying to enquiries, title investigation, searches, mortgage applications and completion work
• Post‑completion tasks including SDLT, HMLR/HMRC requirements and sending deeds to lenders
• Overseeing and delegating work to a Paralegal and Legal Assistant
• Supporting colleagues across the wider department when required

This is a self‑sufficient role, ideal for someone confident in producing their own work to a high standard and comfortable working with case management systems and Microsoft packages.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX or equivalent from experience
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of the conveyancing process
• Experience managing a full caseload independently
• Confident decision‑maker with excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and delegate effectively

Desirable:

• Experience using Proclaim Case Management System
• Law degree or equivalent
