GTS Group are supporting an innovative engineering business that is experiencing significant growth and is looking to strengthen its manufacturing engineering team. This opportunity offers exposure to cutting-edge composite technologies, advanced production methods and highly complex engineering projects across aerospace, defence and high-performance applications.
What You’ll Be Doing
✔ Developing and improving composite manufacturing processes
✔ Optimising lay-up, cure and trimming operations
✔ Creating manufacturing documentation, process instructions and routings
✔ Supporting production, quality and design teams
✔ Leading investigations into manufacturing and quality issues
✔ Supporting equipment commissioning and production scale-up
✔ Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
✔ Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards
What We’re Looking For
✅ Experience within composites manufacturing
✅ Strong understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes
✅ Autoclave and lamination experience
✅ Aerospace, defence, motorsport or advanced engineering background
✅ Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality systems
✅ Ability to work cross-functionally within engineering and manufacturing teams
Nice To Have
⭐ Automated Fibre Placement (AFP)
⭐ Lean Six Sigma qualifications
⭐ ERP/MRP system experience
⭐ Experience within a fast-growth manufacturing environment
