Morson Edge are currently seeking an experienced Credit Risk QA Senior Manager & Manager to lead second-line Credit Risk QA activities and provide independent oversight of credit risk management across the Bank’s lending businesses.
These would be permanent roles working in London on a hybrid basis.
Reporting to the Head of Credit QA and Frameworks, you will play a key role in assessing the effectiveness of credit risk controls, identifying emerging risks, strengthening governance, and driving continuous improvement across the lending lifecycle.
Senior Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead the Credit Risk Quality Assurance programme across first and second lines of defence.
- Review and challenge credit risk practices, identifying emerging risks and areas for improvement.
- Lead monthly QA review meetings with business stakeholders and monitor corrective actions.
- Produce insightful risk assurance reporting for senior management and governance committees.
- Support Credit Committee, Transactional Credit Committee and Credit Stewardship governance processes.
- Lead the Credit Risk RCSA process and act as the designated Risk Colleague.
- Support Internal Audit and regulatory reviews as required.
Experience required
- Strong experience in Credit Risk, Credit Assurance, Credit Review or Risk Management within banking or specialist lending.
- Good understanding of credit risk governance, regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Experience producing senior-level risk reporting and leading governance activities.
Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Lending Decision Oversight and Credit Operations Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with Credit Risk policies and procedures.
- Identify emerging credit risks and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Participate in monthly review meetings with lending teams, providing constructive challenge and feedback on QA findings.
- Build strong working relationships across the lending businesses and provide ongoing guidance on risk management best practice.
- Support the production of risk assurance reports for senior management and governance committees.
- Assist in the coordination and administration of Credit Stewardship Forums, Transactional Credit Committee and Credit Committee meetings.
- Support the delivery of the Credit Risk Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.
Experience required
- Experience within Credit Risk, Credit Operations, Quality Assurance, Risk Management or a related banking environment.
- Strong understanding of lending processes and credit risk controls.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to challenge constructively and work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
