A young, well-funded specialist contractor (new build, refurb and remediation) is growing fast. New office in Central London near Liverpool Street, flexible working, and they’re building their estimating function from scratch inside pre-construction.
They’re taking on a couple of people at different levels, and this is the one for an estimator who wants room to develop rather than a narrow lane in a big firm.
What you’d be doing
- Pricing remediation, refurb and new build schemes cladding, facade, fire safety upgrades, EWI, fabric upgrades
- Producing estimates and tenders, take-offs, measurement, pricing schedules, subbie enquiries
- Supporting two-stage tenders, PCSAs and ECI
- Pulling together cost data for the funding schemes (BSF, CSS, SHDF)
- Spotting the risk and allowances in what you price
- Working with the wider pre-con and commercial team as the function builds out
What you’d bring
Need to have: estimating experience on remediation, facade, refurb or social housing; decent take-off and pricing skills; subbie/supply-chain pricing; and the appetite to learn and grow with a business that’s growing too.
Nice to have: two-stage / PCSA exposure; retrofit / EWI / PAS 2035; working toward MRICS / MCIOB.
